‘Empty’ virus cells carry nano doses of medication

We now have an organic method for transportation of nano amounts or doses of substances such as medication through our living bodies.

By “loading” a Cowpea Mosaic virus cell—which has been previously rendered using irradiation or chemical treatment—the cell becomes like a miniature container vessel, able to carry and move specialized loads throughout a living body.

This is a fantastic breakthrough in that nano cell containers could be made to seek our or be attracted to certain cell-types, either to assist them, transform them, or (if they are a nuisance or harmful) eradicate them.

Here’s the report.
